Kaya Dorper has access to a fully functional semen and embryo collection centre and will collect genetic material on request.
Kaya has a policy of only collecting genetic material from our very best animals so anybody purchasing genetics from Kaya will be using identical animals as in our own breeding programs.
At present we are screening our Dorper genetics for “scrapie” resistance and will have the final results by mid January when we will commence collecting embryos for the EU Protocol. Expressions of interest are welcome.
In 2007, Kaya imported embryos from Tien Jordaan specifically selected for ARR/ARR. Since that time we have not continued testing but we are very confident that we can supply ARR/ARR animals that are “typed” and with good performance data.
